Colour is the hero of the artistic work of Diocrecia Usero. This Aragonese painter, has spent all her adult life painting as a hobby. At the age of 5, she started scribbling and since then, she has hardly ever put down her brush. Although she has received lessons at the 'Atrium' Art School in Zaragoza, she is largely self-taught. Her work is mainly paintings based on oil on canvas and watercolors.

After a series of portraits, which include those of many writers of The Generation of 27, those she now exhibitis are marked by a new inspiration: The Look. A new way of painting based on drawing, incorporating a great variety of colours which allow the faces to come alive.

For this artist, the most significant part of the face is the expression of the eyes and the stories they tell.´My paintings are based on what I feel each moment´, says Diocrecia.

As another way to live her creativity and popularise her art, at Diocrecia´s exhibitions you can also find a repertoir of exclusive hand painted T-shirt and scarves: fabrics on which the artist captures some of her paintings.
